Although the specific terms of the deal remain undisclosed, it is described as a “multi-year” arrangement. This arrangement grants Warner Bros. the right of first refusal, allowing them priority in considering Chalamet’s projects.

Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group co-chairs and CEOs, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, commended Chalamet’s dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to each project. In response, Chalamet expressed gratitude for their support, emphasizing their shared belief in authentic filmmaking. He hailed the partnership as a natural progression and eagerly anticipated the collaboration ahead.

At 28, Chalamet has already made cinematic history, becoming the first star in over four decades to feature in two top-grossing films released within eight months of each other: “Dune: Part Two” with a box office total of $575.5 million, and “Wonka” grossing over $632 million globally. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by John Travolta with “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever.”

In addition to his acting roles, Chalamet has ventured into producing, notably with Luca Guadagnino’s “Bones and All.” He is also set to produce and star in the forthcoming Bob Dylan biopic, “A Complete Unknown,” currently in production.
