Despite being initially deemed ineligible to play against Chelsea, Newcastle obtained special dispensation to field the player, who graduated from the Cobham academy, in their match against the Blues. This decision came after he was unable to participate in Newcastle’s 4-1 victory at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Newcastle opted for a deferred payment approach, as an upfront deal was financially challenging, intending to make the transfer permanent in the upcoming season.
