The Board of Supervisors is expected to greenlight a $150,000 Commercial Business Incentive Fund grant on Tuesday, part of the Department of Economic Development’s initiative to secure reinvestment in the manufacturing plant located along Rt. 28 in Sterling. Additionally, the state government has extended a $36,750 grant through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.

The investment is projected to generate $250,000 in new tax revenue over the next three years, according to information presented to the county board.

TTM Technologies, established in 1998, specializes in manufacturing mission systems, radio-frequency components, RF microwave, microelectronic assemblies, and advanced printed circuit boards. With over 200 employees at its Loudoun location, the California-based company is undertaking a significant project involving a $13.4 million equipment purchase and a $1.3 million plant renovation on Severn Way.

Considering expansion options in several states, TTM Technologies chose Loudoun County over facilities in California, Colorado, Connecticut, North Carolina, Ohio, or Oregon. The company, listed on the stock exchange, is streamlining and modernizing its facilities, including the recent announcement of a $130 million manufacturing plant near Syracuse, NY.

Governor Glenn Youngkin praised TTM Technologies’ expansion, emphasizing Virginia’s support for corporate growth in tech and manufacturing. County supervisors welcomed the investment as a positive addition to Loudoun’s business landscape, with Chair Phyllis J. Randall stating that it diversifies the economy and reflects companies’ confidence in the community. Supervisor Koran Saines highlighted the significance of the expansion in providing job opportunities and reinforcing Loudoun County’s leadership in advanced manufacturing.
