Emergency services promptly responded to the scene as traffic came to a standstill on the motorway. Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that despite the car flipping onto its roof, no individuals were trapped inside the vehicle.

Upon arrival, fire crews, along with Avon and Somerset Police and the South Western Ambulance Service, worked swiftly to manage the situation. Despite their efforts, one lane of the motorway remained closed as of 7:15 p.m., leading to significant delays in the area.

National Highways issued warnings to drivers about the prolonged delays caused by the incident, urging caution and advising alternative routes where possible.
